Kali Lynch - My Mom

My mom is my best friend. Im writing this because she is a constant and I was just texting her in between blogs. She is seriously the best!

I feel like she deserves a tribute. She has taught me so many things and loved me so well. She is fearless and also tender. She is kind and bubbly but also sure of herself at the same time and in no way a push over. My mom has taught me a lot of things.

My mom has taught me that you make the way your day goes, and if you want to find joy then seek the Lord. She always woke me up in middle school singing "Rise and shine and give God the glory glory." Of course, middle school me was always so annoyed because it was 6am and did I mention I was in middle school? Whenever I was having a bad day, she would say that I can choose if my day is good or bad and it all depends on the outlook you have. Man am I thankful for those words everyday.

My mom has taught me that sometimes people are going to let you down. In high school my friends let me down a lot and I always tried to see the best in them. She would always hold me when I cried about my boyfriend being stupid or when I was having trouble with my faith. She was always by my side saying it would be okay and that my high school friends weren't worth the tears and that I wouldn't remember them or talk to them in 3 years anyway. She was right.

My mom has taught me so many things, but she has mostly taught me that she loves me no matter what. She is a good mom and she is my best friend.
