Kali Lynch - Explorin film techniques

Well, I cant really say much about this one. I really did not love any of the film clips we watched for this class. They all made me feel really uncomfortable. The one clip that I vaguely remember was the one about the lady that was really mean to the man and it turned into them being cartoons I think? Anyway, one of them turned into a literal asshole. It was a giant cartoon asshole and I was so confused and really did not understand it at all. I suppose this was a to represent some deeper meaning of tyrants and gender rolls and something of that nature? Im really not sure.

If i'm being totally honest, I really did not understand what any of these clips were representing and cannot really remember them. All I know is that I was a bit confused and did not enjoy watching them.

What I can say is that it was interesting to learn about other film techniques in the class like in the Seventh Seal, there was little dialogue but a lot of cinematic features which was so cool because I never realized that before! It made so much sense to, because when I was watching that movie, I kind of forgot that I was watching a movie with subtitles because the cinematic features were so awesome. I really enjoyed that movie and it was probably one of my favorites from the semester.

Midrash refers to rabbinic literature that contains early interpretations along with commentaries on Written Torah and Oral Torah. Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Dekalog serves as his own interpretations of the Ten Commandments. So I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button the other day for the first time ever. For very long I refused to see it because I felt that it was stupid and so I finally caved and watched it.
