Holden Minor, Donnie Darko
Donnie Darko was a very interesting film to me all around. I loved the angles they used to shoot the whole movie. It seemed like every seen was suspenseful due to the way they panned the camera throughout the environment surrounding Donnie. The movie posed many ideas about how vital the decisions that we make in our every day life are. The fact that Donnie was able to see his future while he was in it to know how to change what had already happened was an incredible premise. I love movies that truly make you analyze it throughout, but a really great movie is one that you think about for hours at a time after you have watched it. The thing I loved over everything else in the movie though is the idea that everyone is going through something and we never really see the full extent of it. Having Frank as two characters in one is interesting because one is very outlandish and the other is troublesome and it creates a thin line on how to judge where one stops and the other starts.
